2012 – Present

Writing about things to do and see in San Diego and abroad.

New discoveries

A few hours away from San Diego in Niland, Calif. 190 miles southeast of Los Angeles, in the lower desert of Southern California in Imperial County just east of the Salton Sea and about an hour and a half from Palm Springs, you will encounter Salvation Mountain.

‘Scene Out’ far and wide!

I went to visit La Casa Azul – Museo Frida Kahlo (The Blue House – Frida Kahlo Museum) in the Coyoacan section of Mexico City. Frida Kahlo lived in this house most of her life, it’s where she was born and where she died.‘scene-out’-far-and-wide/

San Francisco Pride 2014 … unforgettable

There were amazing vibes throughout Pride weekend in San Francisco this year. The amount of support and attendance for all of the events that occurred starting with the 11th annual Trans March June 27, and ending with The San Francisco Pride Festival, was inspirational.

Beer, Beatles and food

The Japan Society of San Diego & Tijuana held its 12th annual Beer & Sake Festival June 13 at Harrah’s Rincon. Guests enjoyed sumptuous appetizers, tasty beers and sakes while listening to the dynamic sounds of San Diego Taiko.
